There’s no Gphone!

Yes, that’s right. According to Google Blog, There’s no such Gphone. It’s a hoax. Instead, they introduced a OHA– Open Handset Alliance. An Open Standard Operating System for mobile devices.

Android, an open and comprehensive platform for mobile devices, it’s a complete operating system, UI and application to run a mobile phones. As you might know, Android has been bought by Google, and developing Android with alliance Open Handset Alliance, which consist of 30 Technology and Mobile leader.

According to Google Blog, Android is an important part of their strategy of furthering Google’s goal of providing access to information to users wherever they are.

Genius reaches 1.0.0

This is quite amazing, after 10 years in development, the Genius calculator finally reaches 1.0.0. What took so long to be 1.0? The people at gnomedesktop.org said “It is not going to be 1.0 until it can compute eigenvalues for general matrices.”

And till now it’s only partially satisfied with RayleighQuotientIteration function. By the way, this project first appeared as part of GNOME in January 1998. And later split out of GNOME and has it’s own release schedule.
